Imagine tossing a pebble into still waters. No matter the size of the pebble, the resulting ripples alter the water until it expands to the water’s edge.
We invite you to toss a pebble into TJ’s waters. Whatever its size, your pebble will make ripples that change lives. It impacts the students sailing the waters, teachers navigating the waters, and administrators keeping the school afloat. When you toss that pebble, you connect with something greater than you.
All of our imaginary pebbles have a purpose, and some even have a name: Annual Giving. The more people who toss in a pebble, the greater the Annual-Giving ripple, translating into income to support our annual budget, providing, among other benefits:
– Financial aid that makes up the difference between tuition and resources, making a TJ
education possible for all kinds of students
– Restoration of dorm rooms and classrooms after years of teenagers’ use
– Funding for the ISACS professional review process
– Funding for professional searches for talented faculty
– New equipment and resources for academic departments
Other pebbles can be earmarked for TJ’s Capital Campaign. The school is 90 percent funded for the $5-million campaign that produced exciting changes to the campus, including:
– An art studio and classroom
– An athletic addition with team rooms, workout equipment, dance space, public restrooms,
a wood gym floor, and a new HVAC system
– Resurfaced tennis courts
– A renovated pavilion and donor brick area
– An exit drive that enhances the beauty and safety of roadways through campus
– Increased endowment for maintaining facilities and supporting scholarships
– A maintenance facility that works as the hub of TJ facility operations
You can make your pebble (or pebbles) do whatever you want. Designate them to support any Annual-Giving need or to support the Capital Campaign so that we reach our $5-million goal. Or you can toss them into the pond and ask that they be used wherever the need is greatest.
You have the opportunity to toss more pebbles when you sell stocks and bonds, create a will, plan your estate, or name beneficiaries to insurance policies. Please consider including TJ in these arrangements.
