Regular Decision – February 15 Deadline

For students who apply during the fall and winter, applications and visits should be completed by the middle of February.

Letters with admission decisions will be mailed in early March. If admission is offered and the family wishes to accept, they should respond by the date indicated in the letter (approximately April 1) with a signed reservation form and a non-refundable deposit. (If the student requires a visa, we will promptly send an I-20 once we have received the signed enrollment form and the deposit.)

Early Decision – December 15 Deadline

If the student and parents know early on that Thomas Jefferson is their first choice, it is to their advantage to use our Early Decision procedure.

To do this, they should send a written notification to us stating that they would like to be considered under Early Decision and that Thomas Jefferson is indeed their first choice. This notification should be received by December 15. The school will then send a decision by December 30. Parents and students should understand that if the child is admitted under Early Decision, the family will be expected to return the reservation form and the deposit promptly (within two weeks) and to withdraw any applications pending at other schools. This procedure, used by many schools and colleges, offers the chance to settle the applicant’s plans much sooner and reduces the period of anxiety.

After February 15

Remaining openings will be filled by rolling admissions during the spring and summer.

Families normally have ten days to respond from the date of the admission notification.

All application materials should be mailed to:
